this is what i know, i can ask yang for more deets if you need them!

he rented out a really cool space in dumbo called Open Arts Studio and had a couple friends serve as photographers to handle the red carpet. this was the schedule:

7:15pm: Welcome & Red Carpet: show off your fashion and best poses with our photographers taking some hot photos. Silent auction will start during this time.

8:00pm: Speed "Dating": meet folks in rapid-fire rounds of connection.

8:30pm: Kahoot, Performances, & Live Auction

9:30pm: Dance the Night Away & Final Silent Auction Bids

10:40pm: Clean Up & Exit!

(the silent auction was various art, photo prints, random tchotchkes)

for the auctions he asked people to reach out to him with what they'd like to offer:

> The charity auction items will be community sourced - meaning by you! Whether that means you can provide a 30-minute lesson on something you're skilled at, help someone make a personal website, illustrate something for their wall, or simply offload a gently used kitchen appliance, donations are welcome for items to be auctioned. Offering something to be auctioned is not a requirement for coming!

running the auction itself was pretty straightforward - someone would pitch their offering and bidding would start. winners would venmo Yang, which he'd funnel to the charities through his corporate match. a couple days after the event he connected everyone with each other!

Ummm ok, you have some very cool and fashionable friends! I would love to auction off a walking tour if something like this happens again.
